Nasia Papavasiliou

DelineateVorfluter - BerlinNovember 2023Nasia Papavasiliou’s solo exhibition Delineate is the culmination of her one-month field research in the Atacama Desert, where she explored the connections between natural materials and the earth’s transformative processes. Reflecting on themes of separation, grief, and unity, her work highlights the “in-between” of fragmented elements, while drawing connections between the earth’s surfaces and the sky. The exhibition features videos of her desert performances, a fabric imprinted by a dry river, a notebook, and a sound installation. In the basement, she creates a space from clay, soil, and salt, revealing the earth’s hidden vitality. The performance Pleiades activated the installation twice, reshaping the space with live camera projections that created a two-layered time dimension. Delineate invites viewers to experience the subtle interconnections of nature, time, and material.
